Marta Ayala's murals appear in public spaces throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Many of her mural projects involve participation and collaboration with students and community members and adorn schools and public buildings in San Francisco, Richmond, Watsonville, East Palo Alto and East San Jose. Unless otherwise indicated, all murals are located in San Francisco.

Her mural, Manjushri, is featured on the Precita Eyes Mural Walk and is also featured in the book Murals: Walls that Sing by George Ancona.
